Villa Cora is an incredible restored hotel just outside Florence itself. The facilities are superb with service to match. The gorgeous rose-filled garden and pool are a delightful refuge, as it is cooler here than in Florence itself. The best views over the city are just 10 minutes’ walk uphill.
Villa Cora was built in the 1860s and has been loving restored. The best suites are on the first floor, replete with frescoed ceilings, antiques, and fabulous four poster beds.
Villa Cora’s an outdoor pool is heated and can be enjoyed year-round, with its convivial poolside bar. Le Bistrot is a superb restaurant (poolside in summer) and you can even participate in classes by chef Liberatore himself.
Breakfast is glorious with an impressive selection of cheeses and meats, eggs, salads and fresh breads and pastries. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff – they really do care and go the extra mile.
“My wife and I wanted to travel through Chile, Bolivia and Peru and were slightly daunted by the logistics of organising such a varied trip.John Resse, USA
Chris was incredibly helpful not only mapping out the most exciting and engaging trip, but also using his extensive personal knowledge of the best things to do. They were reassuringly efficient in organising the trip, monitoring how we were doing during the trip and making adjustments to improve the trip.Tracy Williams, UK
Chris’s passion and enthusiasm encouraged us to do things we wouldn't have thought to do, which gave us fantastic memories of the trip of a lifetime.”Tony Thomas, USA
