It has been a tough 18 months for everyone. But now is a fantastic time for a vacation – with your kids. Family vacations mean no household chores, no errands – just quality time with your family. It doesn’t matter if it’s gladiator training in Italy, eating street food in Thailand, or safari in Kenya, as long as you spend some good, old-fashioned quality time with the family. And when you overlay your sightseeing with some volunteering with a meaningful luxury family vacation, that’s when the real magic happens: your kids will appreciate how fortunate they are, you will bond closer together, and they may even become inspired to be future world changers.
The world out there is bigger.
When we are living under the same roof we mostly work on our own individual tasks, not because we don’t want to be together, but because there are just so many things do. The focus is always on getting things done- whether doing our 9 to 5 jobs or taking care of the house and looking after the kids who are also going to school every day and busy with that. Each family member ends up doing his or her own thing. Sad to say, we may hardly even have time for heart to heart talks with each family member.
The answer is to have a break from all these seemingly endless tasks because the world out there is a lot bigger than us and our lives, and what better way to do it than having a vacation time with your family. We need time to relax, “sharpen the axe”, and be with our family, away from the demands and hustles of normal life. We need time to get away with our family to figure things out as a team, to explore and experience new things together. Don’t get me wrong: traveling with family isn’t always easy and hassle-free but it is always refreshing to see the bigger world, beyond our ordinary lives and create memories together with our loved ones.
Money and time spent with family is never wasted.
If you are spending your time or money with your family, it’s never a waste. It’s an investment in your children – you are actually letting them learn and open their eyes to more beautiful and larger things. At the end of the day, it’s not only your kids who are learning; you are too. Likewise, it’s an investment in your spouse, you get to share some great moments together, and become stronger as a couple… and stronger as a family.
Hands Up Holidays can show you how to have a meaningful luxury family vacation that gives you memories to cherish and transformed lives by incorporating a fulfilling volunteer project as part of your vacation.
