The main guesthouse is a typical colonial inspired, southern Chilean style house, built entirely from fine wood, where the heat from the fireplace is the best company on those cold, rainy days.
It has a lounge, a library, a Patagonian style kitchen, dining room, an outside dining table and spacious terraces with a great view of the Puelo River.
Lonko House is where the Lodge started. It was the home of the regional Mapuche chief in the 60s. by architect Edward Rojas from Chiloe, an authority in regional architecture and ecology, who also helped with our sustainability program. The house is built entirely with Larch wood, and we have maintained the wooden details and Ulmo flooring.
It has a lounge, library, Patagonian kitchen, dining room, outside dining table and spacious terraces with a great view of the Puelo River. The first-floor office, has WIFI, satellite telephone, mobile phones and anything else that our guests need to keep in touch. On the second floor, there are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms: the Tagua Tagua Suite, with a view of the lake and the Bandurria Suite with view of the northeast mountains.
The Tagua Tagua Suite is 45 square meters (485sf). A King Size bed, wood burning stove, private bathroom with a free-standing tub, and a spectacular view of the Lake.
