Capella Ubud

A tented camp among Ubud’s rainforest, rice terraces, and the Wos River, designed around Bali’s historic spirit of adventure.

A timber guest pavilion and open-air lounge surrounded by lush Ubud rainforest.
The story

Nestled between Ubud’s rainforest, rice terraces and the Wos river, Capella Ubud brings the wonders and myths of Bali’s exotic past to life. Inspired by the early European settlers from the 1800s, legendary architect Bill Bensley conceptualized this ultra-luxurious tented camp as a tribute to the spirit of adventure.

Luxuriate with an afternoon of pampering spa treatments at the Auriga Spa or let us take you out on an adventure. Gastronomists can indulge in the dining tent, which offers a choice of two inventive restaurants, a highly interactive Asian street food barbecue venue, or The Mortar and Pestle pool bar. When night arrives find a spot at the camp fire to meet guests and local storytellers while enjoying the essence of Bali’s untouched natural surroundings.

Multi-sensory culinary journeys await you with a choice of Mads Lange, Api Jiwa, the Camp Fire, bespoke private dining and in-retreat dining.

Reconnect with yourself and nature through a variety of cultural, culinary and physically and spiritually adventurous activities offered in and around the camp.
